In 1986 the guys won the group of the year award at the Juno awards( Canadian music award show). They won two triple platinum albums and one double platinum record.   In 1986 their songs bad attitude and what does it take were featured in ABC sitcom Growing Pains and in the movie One Crazy summer respectfully. The band also recorded the song those were the days for the 1986 movie The Wraith Starring Charlie Sheen. HMS did a video for the Youth Employment Services of Canada to encourage kids to stay and school and to get part time jobs. In 1987 HMS recorded the title track for the Warner Brothers film Lethal Weapon starring Mel Gibson and Danny Glover. HMS toured with big named acts such as : Heart Jethro Tull April Wine Bryan Adams Status Quo Billy Idol The band also had two live concerts televised on much music in Halifax in1987 and at the Kingswood music theatre in 1988.
